We had heard that The Beatles had stayed at the Old Hall in April 1963 just before they became famous. The local music promoter had booked them for a concert in Shrewsbury and they stayed the night at his parents house which was the Old Hall. This has all been confirmed by a resarcher who has got provenance as whilst they were here they autographed a book.
The Cynics Autograph Book (1911) containing the autographs of The Beatles - inscribed 'Best wishes from The Beatles, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Star and John Lennon' - provenance: signed by The Beatles while staying with Andrew Miller at Cressage Old Hall, before the concert at Shrewsbury on 26th April 1963.
